Maple is a dignified, gentle 3-year-old tabby who carries herself with the quiet confidence of a cat who knows exactly what she wants. And what she wants, more than anything, is a sunny windowsill and a calm human to sit beside. She's not the type to demand attention, but when you settle onto the couch, she'll appear beside you within minutes, purring softly.
She's incredibly low-maintenance — impeccable litter box habits, never scratches furniture, and has zero interest in counter surfing. Maple prefers a predictable routine and a peaceful environment. She does best as the only pet in the home, where she can be the quiet center of your world.
Maple's ideal home is a calm household — a single person, a couple, or a family with older children who understand that some cats prefer gentle pets over being picked up. She'd thrive in an apartment or a house, as long as there's a window with a good view.
Maple was surrendered to WCAHS in May 2026 when her elderly owner of three years made the difficult decision to move into an assisted living facility that doesn't allow pets. Her owner was heartbroken and made sure Maple came with her favorite blanket, her usual brand of food, and a handwritten note about her daily routine.
It's clear Maple was deeply loved and well cared for. She arrived in excellent condition and clearly used to a structured, quiet home life. She was shy for her first day in foster care — hiding under the bed — but by day two she was rubbing against her foster parent's ankles and claiming the sunniest spot in the house.
Spayed, up to date on all vaccinations including FVRCP and rabies
Microchipped
FIV/FeLV negative, dewormed
Mild dental issue (resolved): Had 2 teeth extracted prior to intake. Fully healed with no complications. Eats dry and wet food without issues. Annual dental checkups recommended.

"Maple hid under my bed for the first day and I was a little worried. By day two, she came out and sat right next to me on the couch. Now she's my shadow — follows me from room to room and purrs the instant I sit down."
"She has this thing where she'll sit on the windowsill for hours watching birds, and she does this little chittering sound. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen."
"She's the kind of cat that makes you slow down. You can't rush around Maple — she makes you want to just sit and be still. I think she'd be perfect for someone who wants a calm, loving companion."
